Terri's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Follow along with this mother of four as she experiences the preschool years.

November 30, 1999

Hello, my name is Terri. I am a very busy mother of four -- three which are girls. We just have been blessed with our little boy. My three girls are spoiling him rotten. Sarah, who is 6, is my scholar. Kristina, who is 4, is my strong willed, yet very motherly, child. Rebecca, my 2-year-old, is the sweetest of the bunch. Finally, Stephen is 6 weeks old and loves his swing.

We have had a very busy life the last few weeks. Starting in February 2000, we became a family of six. The girls are very excited about having a little brother to carry around and play with. Kristina is the mother of the bunch, she takes care of Stephen so well. She will get him in his swing and out of his swing when he cries. Also, when he gets me frustrated she will come and say, "Here mommy, let me take him and try to settle him down." It makes me giggle every time she does that. Sarah reads to Stephen, and he lays there and just listens so contentedly. Rebecca just runs around telling everybody when the "baby is crying." It has taken us a while to figure out a routine and get all of us into the same routine is a treat. Sarah and Tina go to different schools in different counties, so getting them both there by 8:00 a.m. takes a lot of work.

This past weekend, Sarah and Tina went and stayed with Mimi while mommy recovered from minor surgery. This was Tina'a first time to stay at Mimi's house without mom. She was so excited about going she didn't even take her Mickey pillow. Mimi said she never asked for it. They went to church Saturday night for talent night and enjoyed singing and spaghetti.
