Introduction
Hello Fellow Readers,
Happy New Year. We have decided to spend New Years in NY with my family. I am very excited. I have very low expectations, just a smooth ride, minus Chloe throwing up in the mountains, and a nice visit. I have a few days off from work and i really need them.
Next year we are having major rule changes and I will have a difficult time adjusting.
I used to call in on a whim, but cannot do that anymore. I also will be glad to be off next week, while work is super busy for year end balancing and lockbox processing for the end of 04.
I am looking forward to a great new year.
This year was disaterious for Joe, Chloe and I. We were doing good at the beginning of the year, then Joe lost his job. In June I was in a car accident and had my gallbladder out, in July I recuperated and tried to resolve the car accident. It still isn't resolved.
August, things are still bad, we are struggling keeping Joe's car running and i cannot handle the stress of keeping up. Joe decides to become a full-time grad student pursuing his Masters in Elementary Education.
September, we are foreclosed out of our home. I knew the bottom would hit, but not so hard and fast. My feeling were hurt, my emotions were hurt, and I felt defeated.
This was also the month which marked the year anniversary of my mother's passing.
October -we were scrambling for a financial plan. Nothing seemed to be working out for us. We celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary over a humbling dinner of hamburger helper. I hated every minute of it. In Oct, my mental health hit the bottom too. It was tough keeping my head up. I sought help and the light is getting brighter now.
November, the big move. We didn't receive Joe's finanicial aid and were living on one salary. This is rough. We moved into a smaller more humble house. It's very easy to keep clean and i actually enjoy not spending to my last $1.25 and worrying about where our gas is coming from for the upcoming week.
December - this month was uneventful. Finally, we are unpackked, the house looks decent and i am sleeping better and feeling much better. Christmas was fun and enjoyable.
I feel like I was robbing myself with these issues all year. THe reason why I'm recapping my family and my year, is so Chloe know's IT"S OK. We survived and we are all vunerable.
Last night I got to bed late and I need to get into bed soon.
We are off for NY this weekend and I cannot wait to see my sister and eat alot of Buffalo Wings. I love visiting and usually am ready to leave by 3-4 days. I am going to enjoy this time and do nothing scheduled or demanding. ALso, they have these great hot dogs and we've been out for a while. I love NY foods.
Out looks for next year - 2005
1. Give Chloe a sibling she's dying for.
2. Find some spiritual gudiance I can comfortablly and enjoyably practice.
3. Try to slow down and enjoy more time with Chloe and DH.
4. Get out of our financial rock bottom.
5. Get a firm and fit body.
6 Make a committment to become a teacher and get certified.
There are many more but I cannot think of them right now. I will be starting a blog as soon as I figure more out about it. I want to post pictures of Chloe and other things. Sometimes I feel IP can be stuffy with "were perfect and I want to vent somtimes, which isn't always appropriate here".
Chloe is off school this week and will be next week too. Chloe will be spending some time with my good friend and her daughter.
My friend actually went to HS with Dh in Ny and the irony is they didn't know each other until we moved to Smalltown NC. Funny Huh.
I will update with my blog once I get it up and running.
Happy New Year,
Jennifer & Chloe
