Introduction
Stephanie is very excited. Later this week, she gets to go with her brother to her grandmother's house to spend a few nights. She will miss school on Friday, which is a bit of a bummer since they are taking a field trip to Santa's Secret Workshop. But she doesn't care. She'd rather be spending time at grandma's house. Grandma is her favorite grown-up, you know. They will be with her because I am taking a trip to Vermont and New Hampshire to see my brother and sister. Stephanie's daddy will have to work, so grandma is on duty.
Over this Thanksgiving Day weekend, we put up our Christmas tree. Stephanie was a lunatic! So excited to help get the tree up and decorated. She did a really good job when she wasn't bouncing off the walls. Now she is going to be asking me every day if Santa is coming tonight. They told her at school that Christmas comes right after Thanksgiving. She thinks that that means the next day. Today I'll show her the calendar and we'll put a special sticker on December 25.
Tomorrow the school psychologist is coming to the house to evaluate Stephanie for a while. It's all part of the speech evaluation. Hopefully, she won't be terrified.
