Introduction

Oh what a Merry Christmas we had! I think Austin was right on the money when he told us, "This is the best Christmas ever!" And he said that before the big surprise from daddy. Yes, daddy came in from Texas. This is our little Christmas story ...

On Friday the 22nd, daddy called and said he wasn't coming in for Christmas. Boy was mommy bummed out. Then he said that Papa Delvan (Don's dad) was in and was going to bring me a Christmas present from Don. So I call Delvan and he was on his way. Papa Delvan got stuck on the dirt road to Gege's where we have been staying. Then Delvan finally arrived. I ran up the stairs and too the door. There standing at the door was daddy! I was hoping he was going to come in but after that phone call earlier he had me fooled. HA! I yelled for Austin to come upstairs that he had a surprise waiting for him. When he saw daddy standing there he yelling with excitement. And he hasn't let him out of his sites since then. Don said he had two more gifts for Christmas for us. One was just for me and the other was for me and Austin. The combo gift he would give us on Sunday. Well on the way to Papa Delvan's we turned the corner to go to his house and Don pointed across the street from a gas station, in this small parking lot, and said "Merry Christmas guys!" There across the street sat the red trailer of ours that had all of our belongings in it. He had told us that some friends and come in with him and was at there parent's house. That was a lie. HA! But he said he wanted it all to be a surprise so he had to fib a little. My dear sweet husband has moved us back to Missouri. WOOHOO! Austin we are trying to explain to that we have moved back here and are not going back to Texas. I think it will take a little while for him to understand this. But our little family is back together! I couldn't have asked for a better gift. The weird thing is that before we knew Don had brought the trailer back is that Austin had told him just the day before that he didn't want daddy to leave again that he needed to stay with us. HA! HA! Maybe Austin knew before the fact. hehe. Good surprise daddy! It was the best gift of all!!! The other gift was our wedding bands that we had lost and a new diamond ring for me. God I thought that the moving back thing was it. But by far the moving back was the best. So the diamond will just have to take a second best.

Austin got plenty of cool new stuff. His favorite was his new drum set, music instruments and his Poo Chi. Gee can ya tell that daddy is a drummer. HA! HA! *Bang* Bang* goes the drums. Anyone got a Tylenol? LOL. Well, that was our Christmas. My mother cried when she read the card from Don telling her that he was back to stay. I knew she would. I could say it was a perfect Christmas. We have so many things to be thankful for and we have Jesus to thank for each and everyone of them. Thank you Jesus!

*HAPPY NEW YEAR*

Love,
Mommy
