Finishing Touches for Homemade Jacket or Windbreaker:
Next, on the front of the jacket, draw a long line from the center of the neck down to the bottom of the jacket. Stitch the gold buttons all the way down this "seam." Draw a pocket on the left breast of the jacket, and stitch a button there, as well. Cut out a fake patch/badge for the sleeve and stitch it to the jacket. Now the jacket is complete!

TIPS
  • You'll probably have material left over.
  • Tell your local fabric store clerk what you are making; she may have some other great ideas for you regarding fabric, patterns and accessories.
  • Thrift stores should have sweats, windbreakers (for no-sew) and boots for this costume.
