Fun Springtime Crafts for the Family By Kymberly Pratt
Chicky Chicky
You'll need:
- Yellow cotton balls or pompons
- Egg carton
- Black and orange fun foam
- Scissors
- Hole punch
- White tacky glue
Here's what you do:
Make 24 holes out of the black fun foam with the hole puncher. These will serve as the chick's eyes. Glue two on each chick. (Note: Wiggle eyes could also be used.)
Cut 12 orange squares out of the fun foam and fold them in half to form triangle beaks. Glue them on the cotton balls.
Glue each chick in a separate compartment of the egg container. You can cut the top off the carton or leave it on. You can also add some grass under each chick. Be creative!

Foam Bunny
You'll need:
- Styrofoam eggs
- White tacky glue
- Cotton balls
- Pink pompons
- White and pink pipe cleaners
- Wiggle eyes
- Scissors
Here's what you do:
Glue five cotton balls on the Styrofoam egg for hands, feet and a tail. Glue two wiggle eyes on the Styrofoam egg for eyes. Use the small pink pompon for a nose.
To make the ears, bend a white pipe cleaner around a pink pipe cleaner in an oval shape and stick the ends in the Styrofoam egg.
Hint: You can make several and place them in your potted plants around your house or you can attach a string and hang them from your light fixtures or fans.
