5 Fun Fall Crafts for Tots

Draw a couple of leaves on the green construction paper and cut them out. If your child is old enough, help him do this with blunt safety scissors. Attach them to the pipe cleaners, using the ends to poke a hole and twist the end of the pipe cleaner so the leaf will not fall off.

Votive Candle Holders
Do several of these pots and use them as table decorations. You can leave the votive out and just use them as candy holders. Be sure not to let your child eat the candy corn unless supervised, as it is a choking hazard.

You'll need:
Orange, black and white paint
Paintbrushes
Black marker
Candy corn
Small white candle votive
4-inch ceramic pot

Here's what you do:
Your ceramic pot has a "lip" at the top. Draw a black line underneath that lip. Next, draw a line about two-thirds of the way down the pot. Draw the lines all the way around the pot.

Help your little one paint the top "lip" of the pot yellow. Let them be creative, and if the line is not straight, that's OK!

Paint the middle layer orange; the bottom will be white. (The pot should look like candy corn.) Allow it to dry completely.

Fill the dry pot about two-thirds full of candy corn candies and then put the votive in the top.
