Fall's Bounty
Turn Nature into Fun!
By Kymberly Pratt
Brown paper sack
Cotton balls
White glue
Cotton swabs
Coat the inside of the paper bowl with glue. Let your child help by using a cotton swab to smear the glue. Let your child begin to add items to form the nest. You can add more glue as necessary to hold them in place. When your child is done, help him glue a few cotton balls on to represent eggs.

Personal Bird Feeder
You'll need:
Pinecone
Peanut butter
Plastic knife
Birdseed
String
Small paper sack
Here's what you do:
Tie a long piece of string around the middle of your pinecone, leaving about 24 inches in order to hang it. Let your child smear the peanut butter all over the pinecone. When covered, pour a generous amount of birdseed into the paper sack. Let your child drop the pinecone into the sack. Close it up tightly, then let him shake, shake, shake! Remove and tie to a tree. Then watch the birds eat!
